How to become a Member

There are a range of subscription scales based on the size and type of the organisation applying. These are set out below. If you are unable to identify where your institution fits in the tables, please contact us at the number below.

Organisations can apply for full membership in one of three categories:

Lenders

Subscriptions levels for lenders can be found by matching the total assets of your organisation to find the correct amount:

  • Assets not exceeding £35 million. £200
  • Assets exceeding £35 million but less than £150 million. £300
  • Assets exceeding £150 million but less than £350 million. £350
  • Assets exceeding £350 million but less than £700 million. £500
  • Assets exceeding £700 million but less than £3.5 billion. £900
  • Assets exceeding £3.5 billion but less than £15 billion. £1,500
  • Assets exceeding £15 billion. £2,000

Trade Associations

Subscriptions levels for national organisations such as trade associations can be found by matching the total assets of your members to find the correct amount:

  • Assets not exceeding £700 million. £350
  • Assets exceeding £700 million but less than £3.5 billion. £700
  • Assets exceeding £3.5 billion but less than £7 billion. £1,400
  • Assets exceeding £7 billion but less than £10 billion. £2,000
  • Assets exceeding £10 billion but less than £15 billion. £2,750
  • Assets exceeding £15 billion but less than £35 billion. £3,500
  • Assets exceeding £35 billion. £4,000

Subscriptions levels for multi-national organisations (eg international trade associations) can be found by matching the total assets of your members to find the correct amount:

  • Assets not exceeding £1.5 billion. £300
  • Assets exceeding £1.5 billion. £500

Non Lenders

Non lending organisations can apply for associate membership in one of the following categories:

  • Individuals or not-for-profit organisations associated with or interested in the furthering of objectives of the IUHF or associated in a professional, educational, social or benevolent activity. £200
  • Government and quasi-government organisations that perform regulatory, central banking or insuring functions for institutions in any country. £350
  • Corporations whose business is regional or local in scope. £350
  • Corporations whose business is national in scope. £700
  • Corporations whose business is international in scope. £1,400

Important notes

Subscriptions cover membership for the calendar year, if a new member is admitted after 1 September in the calendar year, only half the annual subscription will be paid.

No member shall be entitled to any of the rights of membership while subscriptions for the current period remain unpaid.

Membership will automatically lapse if subscriptions are not paid by 31 June of the year following the calendar year in which they are due. The Executive Committee, at its discretion, may waive the condition for any period.

The subscriptions of organisations and institutions that have only part of their assets in home financing shall be calculated by reference to the proportion of assets attributable to housing. For more information, contact the IUHF at the number below.
